Define the master user

Only the master user is able to add or remove users for the camera. A
maximum of 10 users, including the master user, can be defined to the
camera. There can only be one master user at a time.

The master user has access to all camera functions and can define
access rights for other users. See “User settings” on page 36.

When you define a new master user, the old master user remains as a
regular camera user.

The camera identifies the users by their phone numbers and user names.

indicates a space.

To set a new master user, select whether to send all images to the
master user’s mobile phone (1) or e-mail address (2), and send the
following text message to the camera:

6

master user passcode

user name

phone number

e-mail

address

number

Example:

Now Jane is set as the master user and the camera sends all images
to Jane’s mobile phone.

The predefined master user passcode is 12345. See “User
authentication settings” on page 45 for information on how to
change the passcode. It is recommended that you change the
passcode as soon as possible. Keep the new code safe and separate
from your phone and camera. Do not give the code to others as
changing some of the camera settings is possible only with the
master user passcode.

The maximum length of the user name is 20 characters, and it must
not contain any special characters or spaces.

It is not mandatory to define the e-mail address.

To check the information of the master user, send the following text
message to the camera:

6

master user passcode

?

If there is no master user defined, this command does not function.
